Our study started in 1974. The conclusions about hundreds of cases were published in 1988 after fourteen years of clinical investigations.

On January 4, 1988, the first book on andropause disease was published by a medical publisher, (Éditions Maloine. Paris).

This first edition, written in 1987, was immediately out of print.

The second edition was published July 14, 1989, and is also out of print.

Andropause exists as a disease.

The cause is a decrease in the secretion of male hormones (testosterone and dihydrotestosterone), usually after forty years and sometimes before.

Consequences are made by the involution of genitalia, causing impotence, abnormalities of ejaculation, and prostate disorders.

The overall complications are made by a general involution of the body.

Treatment consists of specific male hormone supplementation based on biochemical analysis.
